The Property Ombudsman


The Property Ombudsman (TPO) scheme provides property agents and consumers with an alternative method of resolving disputes. The scheme has been running for 25 years and provides consumers with a free, impartial and independent alternative dispute resolution service. 


The Association of Residential Lettings Agents

The Association of Residential Lettings Agents (ARLA property mark) is the United Kingdom’s leading professional body for letting agents. Its professional members operate at all levels of the letting agency, from business owners to office workers.

National Approved Letting Scheme

The National Approved Letting Scheme (NALS) is an independent, not for profit licensing scheme for letting and management agents operating in the private rented sector. NALS is recognised by the government, landlords and tenant organisations alike - and is the only agent organisation solely focused on consumer protection.  

The National Association of Estate Agents

The National Association of Estate Agents (NAEA) is the United Kingdom’s leading professional organisation for estate agencies. Members are involved within a range of practices that span many different facets of property, both in the UK and internationally. These include property management, auctioneering, land, and residential and commercial sales and letting.


Tenancy Deposit Scheme


Tenancy Deposit Scheme (TDS) is a government approved tenancy protection scheme in England and Wales operated by The Dispute Service Ltd. With regard to the provisions of the United Kingdom Housing Act 2004, every landlord or letting agent that withdraws a deposit for an assured shorthold tenancy in England and Wales must join a joint tenancy deposit scheme.
