Here at Paige & Petrook, we’ve been proudly supporting women in business for over five decades in fact, three generations of Petrook women have worked for the business!

Gloria Petrook first began working at Paige & Petrook alongside her husband Gerald Petrook in 1967 and continued for over thirty years, up until 1998. At this point her daughter Suzie Summer took over with her husband Clive Summer. 22 years later Suzie Summer is the sole director and was joined by her daughter Jessica Summer, in 2017.

Initially Paige & Petrook focused on sales and lettings and in 1986 Gloria and Gerald had the foresight to see the potential in changing the business to focus exclusively on lettings and residential management, Paige & Petrook has continued to be a familiar and much-loved business within the local community.  The property sector is traditionally male dominated, so Suzie Summer is particularly proud of what she, her daughter and the all female team are achieving at Paige & Petrook, as well as all that her mother and father did to build the business from scratch all those years ago.

“The reason Paige & Petrook has been so successful over the years is because my mother and father really cared about their customers and their staff; they always valued them as key contributors in the achievements of the business. It’s an ethos that we still hold dearly to this day and although just Jessica and I are related, the whole team really does feel like our extended family,” explains Suzie.

As the most recent addition to the female line at Paige & Petrook, Jessica joined in 2017 after completing her degree and gap year. “I was really keen to join the family business, as both my grandmother and my mother really inspired me when I was growing up. They showed me what hard work, dedication and compassion can achieve and I wanted to help my mother to carry on the legacy that my grandparents had worked so hard to build up,” explains Jessica.

Now retired, Gloria is delighted to see that Paige & Petrook is continuing to go from strength to strength, “It’s so lovely to see my daughter and my granddaughter keep the Paige & Petrook name going and grow the business. I have such wonderful memories of working there alongside my husband and all the great things we achieved over the years. I love to be kept up to date by Suzie and Jessica about their progress and success,” says Gloria.
